- MSI Professional Services (formerly Medical Services International) is an international non-profit Christian organization
- It was founded in 1994 by Dr. James H. Taylor III, Dr. Reginald Tsang and Mr. Richard Chen
- Our vision is to share Christ's love with the people of inland China by sharing our professional skills and witnessing through our lives
- Our mission is to glorify God by mobilizing Christ-like professionals to serve the wholistic needs of the people of inland China
- We serve the Yi, Hui, Miao, Bai and Tibetan minority groups as well as the Han Chinese
- MSI's headquarter is in Hong Kong, with regional centers in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States
- We serve in numerous sites in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, as well as Chongqing
- We have 6 major programs: Medical, English teaching, Youth Center, Livestock, Business Administration and Management, and Community Development
- MSI Canada began sending medical teams to China in 1998. We partner with a rural hospital in Sichuan province. Individuals have also joined other international teams to serve in various hospitals and medical schools
- MSI Canada began sending English teaching teams in 2000. These English teachers have taught in high schools, Youth Center, vocational schools and university
- Canadians have also served in Business Administration and Management teams, Cultural Exchange teams, soccer teams, Home economics/sewing teams

Medical Program
Medical teams work in partnership with national, provincial and local health authorities in developing and upgrading medical services in needy areas.What do medical teams do?
- Provide direct patient care in working side by side with Chinese doctors and health care personnel
- Give lectures and demonstrations for hospital staff, village doctors and medical students
- Donate medical equipment and medications
- Provide funding for local doctors and health care personnel to receive advanced training
- Run clinics and host health fairs in rural outposts for villagers
- Provide a Christian witness of love and care to the Chinese
We have witnessed tremendous improvement in the hospital, both in its work atmosphere and physical environment. We have established friendly relationship with the hospital staff and administration.
We are looking for Christians health care professionals committed to the Great Commission and who have a burden for China, to join us in providing medical services and Christian witness in China. We welcome inquiries from professionals from all health care fields.

MSI's English Program
MSI offers a variety of English teaching opportunities in China, ranging from 2 weeks trip to long term placement. Through these opportunities, we can serve the academic, physical, and spiritual needs of the Chinese. What an incredible opportunity to use your talents, skills, experiences and personality to make a dramatic impact on the lives of these students and professionals who will play such an important role in the future of our world!What do English teaching teams do?
- Teach culture and conversation English to local English teachers
- Lecture on teaching methodology, styles, pronunciation, motivation and use of visual aids
- Teach elementary and middle school students
- Engage in conversation activities with local English teachers and students

MSI's Livestock Program
The program started in 1995 with the Sheep Farming Development Project in partnership with the local and provincial government of Sichuan province. Fifty families were each settled with 20 ewes on a 3-year lend-and-return cycle. The ewes were of improved stock quality for meat and wool production. At the end of the cycle, the farmers kept all produce from the sheep and returned 20 ewes of the same age and quality to MSI, which then lent them to another group of farmers.The project also trains farmers to plant, fertilize and cultivate pastures as well as breed and manage livestock with the help of sheep experts and veterinarians. The project has now expanded to include goats and cattle, as well as other areas of services such as agricultural technology training, cistern project, biogas project and related development in the villages.

MSI's Youth Program
MSI's youth program began in 1999 with the setting up of the Youth Center in Zhaojue as a joint venture with the county government. It provides a focus for vocational training and wholesome recreation. It aims to meet the needs of unemployed youth by developing programs that will enable them to find gainful employment or set up their own micro enterprises. The recent financial support from the provincial government has allowed the youth center to expand their service to over 400 students from the surrounding villages.We are looking for Christians committed to the Great Commission who have experience in the following areas:
- Vocational training such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical repairs, tailoring, handicrafts, home economics, greenhouse technology and etc.
- Sports coaching
- Counseling
- Teaching English, computer skills, arts and crafts, accounting, management or agriculture

Business Administration and Management (BAM) Program
With China's accession to the World Trade Organization, there are many opportunities for professionals in the fields of business and finance to serve with their skills. Our BAM program aims to teach students in business universities, reach out to the rural communities by advising on micro enterprises and community co-operatives, as well as to the urban areas by providing relevant management training to senior officers in local government and corporate organizations.We are looking for Christians committed to the Great Commission who have experience in the following areas:
